Everything we do matters, it either helps or hurts us.
Are you willing to give up what you want now for that which you want most in life?

Everyone needs to be in a team of 3.  I have been watching the teams and the people that are looking for teams and want to share my observations with you.  Take what you will from this - I hope and my intention is that you will notice things that you can improve upon.  Nothing can change until you come to the realization that there is a need for a change; that your current belief no longer serves your desires and a new strategy is needed.

Take charge.  I do this a lot in class and just observe.  For example, when we do circuits, I have noticed that some people go and get the partner they want while others wait to be picked.  Both strategies work, as long as the person does not complain that they are not happy with the partner they got.  I want to encourage you to go after what you want - do not wait for faith or luck.  Shape your own destiny.  So, if you need a team, create your own team and be the leader; you will be more motivated to succeed.

I have also noticed that some teams talk and share what they individually do, their strategies and recipes.  I think that is the magic, which brings about success.  I can feed you all the information; the world is full of information and we are totally overwhelmed by it.  I think that at the end of 90 days, if you made one positive change you have achieved success.  There is no finish line, there are just progressions of your health IQ.  I have been learning how to improve my health for about 10 years now and when I started, I lived on Wendy’s, soda, and beer.  It is a journey of continually implementing improved strategies that meet your needs and help you to develop healthy habits.  How can I improve?  By nature we are social creatures.  It has been proven that we learn best by sharing, then doing it on our own and sharing what we learned with others.  I am providing you with the tools and will be here to answer your questions.  But your teammates are the key to your success.  There are several links below to listen to and books to read.  We are all at different levels, so each of us will focus on something different.  Learn, share and apply what you think you need.  There are many pieces of the health puzzle and there is no one way to finish the puzzle.  My goal is to provide you with the pieces and for you to build your puzzle at your own pace with your own pieces.

I have received many questions, mostly about the Dairy.  Dairy is neither good nor bad.  What you should focus on is what is added to the dairy that you are consuming, the chemicals, the processing of the end product, the amount you consume, and how your body reacts to it.  We are bombarded by self interest companies and the truth is that the Dairy industry is very powerful.  They want you to consume as much of their product as you can, so they come up with reasons why you should eat dairy instead of meat, or any of the other things you can eat instead.  The idea about calcium coming from dairy consumption is being demystified by many doctors.  Below you will find some great books to learn from and make your own educated choice.

I will be making improvements as we go along and if you have any suggestions or questions, please email me.

One main pitfall is that some may think “I am eating all these fruits and vegetables - I can eat all I want to”.  Wrong.  Too much of anything is not good.  For most people, I would advise doing weight watchers for 7 days, to learn about portion sizes and how much we are supposed to eat.

Be awesome!

5 Veggies you should eat

1. Onions: This classic, pungent vegetable adds flavor to any meal. Allicin, a phytonutrient found in most varieties of onions, may be responsible for its health benefits, including lowering cholesterol and blood pressure.
  2. Garlic: This fragrant bulb contains many of the same phytonutrients as onions, as well as antibiotic and antiviral compounds. It may help boost the immune system, prevent colds, lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and fight fungal or yeast infections.
  3. Spinach: This dark leafy green (and others like it, such as kale and collards) contains lutein and zeaxanthin, antioxidant carotenoids that may help prevent cataracts and macular degeneration. Spinach is also a source of calcium and folate, a B vitamin that helps to prevent birth defects. Buy organic spinach, since pesticides are commonly used on conventionally grown varieties.
  4. Cabbage: This low-cost yet highly nutritious cruciferous vegetable contains nutrients called indoles, which may protect against both breast and prostate cancer. It also provides significant amounts of fiber and vitamin C.
  5. Sweet potatoes: Rich in beta carotene, these vegetables may help boost the immune system, deliver vitamin C and folate (which may reduce the risk of heart disease and prevent certain birth defects), and are low on the glycemic index and glycemic load charts.

The above is truly one of the most important principals in life, memorize it and apply it your life and you will begin to make different choices that will serve you better in the long run and on greater scale.
We make the time for what we want.  Very often we think and say we want something but how we spend our time truly shows what we really desire.  When we have a burning desire for something we will go the extra mile, even be willing to turn the planet upside down to get it.  In many ways it's not the material things, or actions that people do not want to give up, they do not want to give up or change their habits, despite that those habits are hurting them.  Observe how you spend your time, what you do, the people you share your time with to see what you really value and love.
"My health is the foundation of my weatlh and happiness"
Take some time and think about the statement above, what will you have and how much meaning it will have if you have ill health?  How long will you enjoy it?   Each of us is partly a golden goose, just like the fable.  There are people in our lives that depend on us in different ways and as long as we have our health we can be an asset to them, but if we neglect the golden goose then we can go from being an asset to being a liability.  In Today's world Health is more important than ever, the stronger your foundation the more value you can provide for those you love and care about at.  So we go back to the quastion; "Are you willing to give up that which you want now for that whcih you want most in life?"
Mistakes and moments of weakness.  Do not beat yourself up when you took the wrong turn or missed the exit, change the course back to the right direction that you want to be moving towards.  I see life in many ways to be just like the flight of a bird, there is a constant need for attention and living in the moment, there is a destination in mind but the winds are strong and unpredictable continual adjustments need to be made.  Sometimes we just can't get there or we miss the mark, luckily most of the time we do get another chance, a new day, a new opportunity and sometimes we blow it, and we need to get over it and keep moving forward.  A beautiful balance of many synergies.
Live Passionately!!!
"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great."
