I have been a member of Rise Fitness for over three years.  I loved the classes from the start—finally a challenging class that made me sweat and pushed me to do my best!  In addition to training at Rise Fitness I also run.  After just the first several weeks of classes at Rise Fitness I noticed my running endurance had improved.  After a few months I noticed a change in my body.  Feeling fit and strong, last year I was inspired to sign up for my first half marathon.  With the strength and confidence I gained at Rise I knew I could meet my goal.  This past April, just weeks before my 50th birthday, I ran 13.1 miles in Central Park, in unseasonable heat, in a little over 2 hours.  Training at Rise Fitness was an integral part of my marathon training.  I feel healthy and fit thanks to Rise Fitness!

The morning after I take a Rise Fitness class, there is yet another part of my body that is sore. I have been a member of Rise Fitness for the past two years, but I still wake up sore....but wanting more!

The instructors work every part of your body and target different areas/muscles every class.  The classes are always incredibly fun and always an intense physical challenge.

Professional athletes will find it difficult to complete the class and beginners will be transformed into professional athletes by the gentle and kind, but, determined instructors.

Rise Fitness has allowed me to say "yes" to any mental or physical challenge put in front of me.  Try it and you'll be hooked!

“For over a year a few friends unsuccessfully tried to convince me to join them for a work-out at Rise Fitness.  I thought I could manage my weight and stay in shape with my own “exercise program” which in hindsight was a pathetic jog a couple times per week.  I knew I was carrying extra weight but felt I was in reasonably good shape, or could get back into good shape with a little extra work.  I was wrong.

Finally, and thankfully, I got off my arse and decided to give Rise a try.  The first few sessions were absolutely brutal but I loved the exhausted feeling at the conclusion of each class.  I quickly yearned to attend the next class and made my early morning Rise workout a priority.  I lost over 25 pounds in the first 90 days by attending class three or four times a week combined with reducing my food and beer intake – no crazy diets, just some discipline.  As I approach my 50th birthday, Rise triggered a critical change in my overall outlook on health and fitness.  Thanks Rise.”

Rise Fitness is more than a fitness facility, it is mindset. When I started working out 9 months ago, I considered myself an athlete who was in great shape. From the start, I realized that I had not been expecting enough of myself. Rob pushes you beyond what you think you can do. Although cliche, it is true: I feel like I am in the best shape of my life. I am stronger, faster and more confident. After eight years and three children, I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight, and I am a much faster runner and better golfer. I highly recommend investing in your health by joining Rise Fitness.

I can't say enough about Rise Fitness.  I had always been thin and liked to run a little bit and never thought much about overall "fitness".  But after kids, things weren't the same! I joined with a friend and then got several more friends to join.

The first few classes were VERY hard (I had to remember how to skip), but great.  Apparently, I had no muscles developed in my body at all.  That has changed.  I have muscle tone! I always feel like I get individual attention on each exercise.

This is not  a regular "gym" class where we just follow what the teacher is doing.  Rob corrects each person's technique when necessary and tailors exercises to fit the needs or injuries of each person in the group.  Every workout is a complete body challenge that builds upon the work I've done so far.

The people are great and supportive, not competitive - we all work at our own level on the same exercises.  I hate to miss class now because I know what it will be like when I return!  Try it - you'll LOVE it!

Live Passionately!!!

It has been three years since I started at Rise Fitness and it continues to be an incredible physical challenge- that’s why I’m still going to class 4 times a week!  I have been a member of every gym in the local area in the past 20+ years and there’s nothing that comes close to the intensity of this workout.

Rob does a great job at changing every class so you never get bored.  It’s obvious that this isn’t just a job for him- he is passionate about what he teaches and truly interested in your personal success with the program. You can’t help but be inspired by him and the healthy lifestyle he promotes. I feel so much better, so much stronger, since following all of his advice….like I’m 25 years old again!

Our group setting creates a fun atmosphere where everyone motivates and supports one another.   Where else do you get to high-five everyone when class is over?

If you are looking to rev up your workouts and improve your physical fitness  (and your life), look no further than Rise Fitness.

After I turned 40, I noticed two things.  The first was that I had accumulated 14 extra pounds, although I was not eating any more than usual.  The second thing was that it was hard to lose the weight when I tried.  Back in the 90s, whenever I wanted to drop some weight, I would start doing a little running or maybe some biking.  I would eat a little less, and the weight would easily fall away.  But no more!  Suddenly fitness was a much harder goal to achieve.

A friend told me about Rise Fitness, and how great it was for him.  I was a bit afraid of how rigorous the training sounded, but I gave it a try.  After just 5 weeks, working out about every other day, the weight had fallen away.  After a few months I started adding back good muscle weight.  Even better, I was able to more easily lift my kids, lug the groceries, carry the suitcases, and I had much more stamina for sports, especially tennis and golf.  The only downside was that I had to buy new clothes -- the old ones no longer fit.

I've now been going to Rise for three and a half years.  The best thing about the classes is the camaraderie, a feeling like were all in it together -- something Rob fosters by driving hard workouts while adding lots of variety and keeping the tone light hearted.  The people who go to Rise are everyday folks, not workout/muscle freaks, its for people who just want to do something a bit different and more challenging than the usual treadmill/weights type stuff.  As Rob says, it doesn't matter the level of fitness you have, as long as you keep trying.  I'm glad I found this place.

Rise fitness is a TRUE total body workout.

I have trained for the past 10 years in Martial Arts, Running and Road Biking, but none of these compare to the workout you get from Rise Fitness.  The program is designed to work all of your primary and secondary muscles through unique movements.  It improves your strength, endurance, balance, flexibility, and mind set.

Rise Fitness makes working out enjoyable.  During the day I look forward to that evenings class.  I workout about three times a week and if I miss a class I get mad and make an effort to get to the next one.  The classes are enjoyable because they are all different.  The instructors design varying routines that challenge everyone from a beginner to an advanced student.  As you progress, the instructors add more to the routine to challenge you.  In the end, it's up to you to challenge yourself, but they are there to motivate you to do your best.

If you're looking for a different workout that is challenging for even the advanced athlete, then this is it!

Since I found Rise fitness over 3 years ago my entire outlook on fitness and health has completely altered for the better.  Rise has facilitated a permanent shift in my focus and theories around how far I can take my body and what it means to take on and surpass my physical and mental limits.  Rise is more than a gym, it is a way of life, totally encompassing the mind-body experience with a tremendous amount of support and sense of community.  After having my baby and coming back to Rise from a short break my body has completely transformed; I am in the best shape of my life.  I know that at Rise fitness I will always be challenged—I will never worry about reaching a plateau because every class is different and has a completely different focus than the next.  I am forever grateful for Rob, his passion and investment in the health of his members is a huge contribution to my own success.

The Rise workouts are a terrific combination of aerobics, stretching and cardio, working the whole body with excellent variety and different challenges daily. They have helped with speed and agility in all of my racquet sports  and have noticeably improved my stamina in cycling. I like the 5:45 a.m. “early hit” and feel stronger through the day thanks to Rise. The sessions  are well balanced, with several levels of intensity for each drill and the groups have achievers and super-achievers which adds a little spirit of “going for it” that helps drive a good workout as well.

Rise Fitness is the one thing that keeps me completely balanced.  It not only deliver the most intense, complete work-out that I have ever experienced (I have been exercising for 25 years), it trains it's members to embrace a positive, can-do attitude to everything they strive to accomplish in their life.  I have been a member of Rise for a number of years, including when I was pregnant and I attribute how quickly I lost my pregnancy weight entirely to the condition I was in from working out at Rise regularly.  Rob truly encourages each member to be the best that they can be.

I want to share my Rise journey! I have been attending Rise for ten months now. Working out and eating a healthy diet has helped me get closer to reaching my goals. In recent months, I have lost around 15 pounds. I attend Rise 5-6 days a week. In addition, I also run during the week quite frequently. Attending Rise has definitely made me a better runner and has increased my fitness level, no question. In each class at Rise, every part of the body is worked on and each class is different!

Let me first off state for the record that I don't “diet” as I don't believe in temporary weight loss plans, and I certainly don't like anything that isn't a natural food that messes with my metabolism/body. I have always had a healthy diet which consisted of low fat dairy, protein, green veggies, nuts, berries, etc. However, I have tweaked my intake of certain foods. For example the foods I'm eating now are low in sodium, carbohydrates and sugar. I've definitely leaned up without any of the negative effects such as loss of strength and muscle loss. The nutrition isn't really much different than what I normally eat, just more refined. Ever since I have refined my nutrition, I have noticed the weight loss. Rob has provided me with some suggestions as far as what to incorporate or eliminate from my diet which has been very helpful. Rob knows what he's talking about. He provides a wealth of information, recipes, exercises, and no-nonsense advice. He tells you it's going to be hard, that it's going to challenge and test you.  To get results, you have to earn them. Just as Rob will advise you, working out will get you fit but to change your body composition the food has to compliment the training. Therefore, working out and eating a healthy diet go hand-in-hand and are a must!
