Environment   (n-vrn-mnt)
All of the biotic and abiotic factors that act on an organism, population, or ecological community and influence its survival and development. Biotic factors include the organisms themselves, their food, and their interactions. Abiotic factors include such items as sunlight, soil, air, water, climate, and pollution. Organisms respond to changes in their environment by evolutionary adaptations in form and behavior.

Live Passionately!!!
GOLDEN RULE

We make time for what we
want / value.  Very often we think and say we want something but how we choose to spend our time truly shows what we really desire.  When we have a burning desire for something we will go the extra mile, be willing to turn the planet upside down to get it.  Observe how you choose to spend your time, and discover what you really value and love.

Purchasing power

How can we change the world with out wars, without blood shed.  The governments know and are most scared of the power that the people have, they never talk about it hoping you will not realize the awesome power you have.  The power of choice, the power to choose how you spend your money.  The price of this power is that it only works when large groups of people realize they have it and work together.  We can change any industry in a day just by voting with our money.  Every time you purchase anything at all you vote for that item instead of all the other things you could have gotten with that money.  It is a power we take for granted yet it is an awesome power that allows us to topple giants and creates the environment we live in.  Think twice before you spend your money and remember that its not just money you are spend its also the time it took you to make that money that you are voting with.  Feel the power you have, vote intelligently!

You will never look at dirt in the same way.
In Food, Inc., filmmaker Robert Kenner lifts the veil on our nation's food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that has been hidden from the American consumer with the consent of our government's regulatory agencies, USDA and FDA. Our nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. We have bigger-breasted chickens, the perfect pork chop, herbicide-resistant soybean seeds, even tomatoes that won't go bad, but we also have new strains of E. coli—the harmful bacteria that causes illness for an estimated 73,000 Americans annually. We are riddled with widespread obesity, particularly among children, and an epidemic level of diabetes among adults.
Dean Ornish, M.D., is the founder and president of the non-profit Preventive Medicine Research Institute in Sausalito, California, where he holds the Safeway Chair. He is Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Ornish received his medical training in internal medicine from the Baylor College of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and the Massachusetts General Hospital. He received a B.A. in Humanities summa cum laude from the University of Texas in Austin, where he gave the baccalaureate address.

For over 32 years, Dr. Ornish has directed clinical research demonstrating, for the first time, that comprehensive lifestyle changes may begin to reverse even severe coronary heart disease, without drugs or surgery.

His current research showed that comprehensive lifestyle changes affect gene expression, “turning on” disease-preventing genes and “turning off” genes that promote cancer and heart disease, as well as lengthening telomeres, the ends of chromosomes that control how long we live, in collaboration with Dr. Elizabeth Blackburn, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2009.

Bruce Lipton - The New Biology - Where Mind and Matter Meet
For almost fifty years we have held the illusion that our health and fate were preprogrammed in our genes, a concept referred to as genetic determinacy. Though mass consciousness is currently imbued with the belief that the character of one's life is genetically predetermined, a radically new understanding is unfolding at the leading edge of science. Cellular biologists now recognize that the environment, the external universe and our internal physiology, and more importantly, our perception of the environment, directly controls the activity of our genes. This video will broadly review the molecular mechanisms by which environmental awareness interfaces genetic regulation and guides organismal evolution.

"You are falling apart because the cells you are making are weaker than the cells they are replacing. Is this inevitable? Not at all. You just have to learn how to make better cells. Because if the three hundred billion cells that you make today are stronger and healthier than the cells they replace, you will, in a very real sense, grow younger. Do that consistently, day after day, and every aspect of who you are will improve, including not only your appearance but your biochemical makeup, strength, stamina, sex drive, memory, mood and attitude. This is now possible. It is not genes or luck -it's a choice."
Stephen Cherniske, M.S.
